WSCC 2017 aims to build a bridge between disciplines, sectors and different groups of stakeholders, the conference will serve as a platform for discussions towards water secure societies by providing a stimulating environment with the intention to yield innovative ideas and grounds for implementation.
The Forum will bring together approximately 100 practitioners from around the world to showcase innovations in environmental emergency preparedness and response, and to highlight current efforts on integrating environmental risk in humanitarian action. You will meet representatives from governments, UN agencies, industries, academia, aid agencies, and civil society. Participants come from a broad background but share the objective to improve environmental emergency preparedness and response, environmental management, disaster risk reduction and humanitarian action.
The 9th Africa Carbon Forum (ACF) will focus on how engagement between State and non‐State actors can be further strengthened in the key sectors for Africa (energy, agriculture and human settlements), including the role of future carbon markets to achieve enhanced climate action, towards the goals of sustainable development.

It takes place every two years, with the 2015 edition rolled into the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction. Its fifth session will be held in May 2017 in Mexico.

From 14-15 January 2017, the seventh session of the Assembly of IRENA will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. At its sixth session, the Assembly designated Italy as President of its seventh session and the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Jordan, and Morocco as Vice-Presidents.
The T20 Africa Conference will bring together opinion leaders from think tanks and universities in Africa and the G20 countries to further promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
