The Environment, Conflict and Cooperation (ECC) exhibition visualizes the dramatic and growing impact of global environmental change. It demonstrates how climate change can threaten the security of the Pacific region, and showcases how climate, environment and sustainable development cooperation can contribute to stability and peace. It is hosted by UNSW in Canberra and Sydney.

The ECC exhibition visualizes the dramatic and growing impact of global environmental change. It demonstrates how climate change can threaten the security of the Pacific region, and showcases how climate, environment and sustainable development cooperation can contribute to stability and peace. Dealing with themes such as water, natural resources and climate change, the exhibition shows how environmental degradation and resource scarcity can spark conflict and create new security risks. It also highlights the role that environmental cooperation and sustainable development can play in promoting peace and stability. The exhibition has been shown in more than 40 cities worldwide since 2005.

For the third year in the row, the European Union and its Member States are organising European Climate Diplomacy Week in Australia. Climate Diplomacy Week is a global initiative during which the European Union and its member countries work together to build relationships with key local actors from governments, business and civil society with a view to promote and accelerate the global transition to a low emissions, resilient and resource efficient economy. This year, European Climate Diplomacy's main objective is to promote ambitious climate policies that include climate resilience and adaptation policies to foster peace and stability worldwide. It will take place on 19-22 June 2017 through a series of events in Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra.
