The publication documents the outcomes of the conference on Water Security, Risk and Society organised by the University of Oxford Water Network in April 2012.
The scientific contributions to this volume, some of them based on case studies from different world regions, analyse both water security challenges and responses, also providing insights into the link between policy and interdisciplinary research in the field.
These efforts leave no doubt that water risks will significantly influence global and national agendas in the near future.
